Pisnas Tril

  • Pisnas Tril, often referred to as the Day of the Moons, is a holiday during which all Races {both TGTP-united and non-TGTP-united} gather together to celebrate the first Celestial Union of the year. The deity most closely associated with this event is Thalquor, God of the Moons.
  • Unlike most holidays, Pisnas Tril has no fixed date. The Celestial Union occurs roughly every 421 days and may fall near the beginning or even the end of an Astracelian year. Whenever the first union of that year occurs, it marks Pisnas Tril.
  • What makes this event extraordinary is the Celestial Union itself; the precise astronomical alignment during which Astracel’s moons align so perfectly that one fits entirely within the other, appearing as a singular radiant form in the sky.

Pisnas Is and the Estalon Vote

  • The celebration takes place on Pisnas Is, an Eldrane-built island constructed and expanded by the people themselves. Each year, the island grows larger as more visitors arrive to witness the union and participate in the annual voting ceremony.
  • Days before Pisnas Tril, millions submit votes for which Estalon they believe should represent the current year. From these submissions, the Inser Foundation selects the top 25 Estalons. On Pisnas Is, attendees cast their final votes to determine which Estalon will serve as that year’s symbol.
  • Although the voting occurs on the first Pisnas Tril of the year regardless of whether it falls early or late, the chosen Estalon represents the entire Astracelian year, not merely the time until the next Celestial Union.
