The Lackaveen is a large, bird-like Estalon renowned for its speed and agility. Despite having wings, the Lackaveen cannot fly and instead uses them primarily for battle and courtship displays. These Estalons attract mates through a unique dance, and once two Lackaveen bond through this ritual, they remain connected for life, forming a family unit. Native to the magmatic lands of Scorchava, it is far more common to see a trained Lackaveen under the care of an Ignaran than to encounter one in the wild. Their tough, plated feet allow them to walk across molten lava, and their claws are capable of piercing even the toughest materials. The Lackaveen’s striking orange-red plumage, accented by green feathers, is likely an adaptation for blending into the environment while feeding on the Morgan Tree, a rare green tree that thrives amidst lava. Their beak, just as strong as their claws, is capable of cutting through most forms of Estalon armor.
