The Wrozon is one of the most infamous
Estalons native to the
Razmerath Forest, earning its fearful nickname;
the Nightmare Hunter. Though it belongs to the
Cephalopoda family, it spends no time in water. Instead, it floats silently through the skies above the forest, waiting for unsuspecting prey to wander below. Like many poisonous species across the worlds; the venomous creatures of
Earth, the Intorral of
Pyrhh, or the Kal of
Myalga, the Wrozon displays vivid warning colors. Its sleek body shifts between bright pink and deep blue hues, deterring predators while also mesmerizing its victims. Despite this striking appearance, the Wrozon can move with startling speed and stealth, descending upon its prey before they even realize it is there. Flat and smooth like a manta ray, the Wrozon’s underside features six long tentacles, each capable of latching onto the skull of its target. This gruesome feeding method is what earned it the scientific name
Cerebrum Cephalopodi. Once attached, the Wrozon’s tentacles grip tightly, making removal nearly impossible without outside assistance. Through this connection, the Wrozon accesses the host’s
amygdala, the center of emotional processing, where it begins manifesting their deepest fears directly into their mind. The victim is forced to relive endless nightmares while the creature slowly drains their mental resistance. The stronger one’s will, the longer it takes for the Wrozon to assume full control. Once dominance is achieved, the creature cracks open the skull and feeds upon the exposed brain, leaving the hollowed remains behind before searching for a new host.
